Terms of service

Talda — talda.app. Last updated 29 July 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and the person who runs Talda. Using Talda means accepting them. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

1. Who provides Talda

Talda is provided by Roni Saroniemi, a private individual in Finland, who operates the service under the name Talda. Contact: support@talda.app.

Talda is a service name, not a legal entity — no company has been formed, so this agreement is with the individual named above. If a company is established later, it will be named here in his place.

Talda is not a company, not a bank and not a licensed financial institution. The connection to your bank is made through Enable Banking, which is licensed to provide account information services. Talda itself does not hold a payment services licence and does not need one to read data through a licensed provider.

2. What Talda does

With your authorisation, Talda reads your bank accounts, balances and transactions, identifies which transfers between members of your household are internal so that the same money is not counted twice, and shows the household a combined picture of where it stands.

That is all it does. It is a way of looking at your own money.

3. What Talda does not do

4. Who may use it

Talda is currently available by invitation only, by direct personal agreement, to the operator's own household. It is not open for public sign-up.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement. You may only connect accounts that you hold, or that you are properly authorised to access.

5. Connecting a bank

You authorise access yourself, at your own bank, using your bank's own login and security. Talda never sees, receives or stores your bank credentials, and never completes a bank login on your behalf.

For the banks Talda currently supports, an authorisation lasts at most 180 days. When it expires, access stops until you renew it yourself at your bank. You can withdraw it at your bank at any time, without telling us first.

Banks limit how often account data may be fetched. Talda therefore schedules a small number of updates per day and limits manual refreshes so that the bank's limit is not exhausted. A refresh being unavailable for a while is normal operation, not a fault.

6. The figures are informational — your bank's records prevail

Everything Talda shows is derived from what your banks report. That data can be late, incomplete, provisional, or later corrected. Transactions can appear as pending and change when they book. Some accounts and some movements are outside what Talda can see at all.

So: where Talda and your bank disagree, your bank is right. Your bank's own statements are the authoritative record of your money. Talda's figures are for orientation, not for reliance.

In particular, do not use Talda as the sole basis for a tax return, a benefits or loan application, an official declaration, or any decision with legal or financial consequences. Check the statement.

Talda also does not convert between currencies without a dated, sourced rate, and it never adds different currencies together. A total shown in one currency is a total in that currency only, and is not your whole financial position if you hold money in another.

7. Availability

Talda is in beta and is provided as it is, without any promise of availability. It may be unavailable for maintenance, because a bank's own systems are down, because a consent has expired, or for no reason we can control.

Features may change or be removed. The service itself may be stopped. Where that is planned rather than forced, you will be told in advance and given a chance to export your data.

Talda is currently provided free of charge. If that ever changes, you will be told before it does, and never charged without agreeing first.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Everyone in a household currently sees every other member's transaction detail, including counterparties. Only connect accounts on that understanding, and only invite people you are content to share that with.

9. Your data

Your financial data remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and take no licence to exploit, publish or resell it. It is used to run the service for you, and for nothing else. How it is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.

10. Ending it

You can stop at any time. Withdraw the bank consent at your bank, and tell us you want your data deleted; we will delete it. You do not need a reason and there is nothing to cancel.

We may suspend or end your access — for example if these terms are breached, if there is a security or legal reason, or if the service is discontinued. Except where a legal or security reason makes it impossible, you will be given reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data first.

When access ends, data is deleted according to the retention period in the privacy policy.

11. Liability

Talda is provided as it is, with no warranty that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose, beyond warranties that cannot be excluded by law.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Finnish mandatory law. If you are a consumer, your statutory consumer rights apply in full and are not reduced by anything written here.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may change. The date at the top will change with them, and if a change actually affects you it will be sent to you by email rather than left for you to find. If you do not accept a change, stop using Talda and ask for your data to be deleted.

13. Law and disputes

Finnish law governs this agreement, and the Finnish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU or EEA, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

If something goes wrong, write to support@talda.app first — at this scale a message reaches the person who can actually fix it. Consumers in Finland can also seek advice from the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (kkv.fi).

Complaints about how your personal data is handled are covered in the privacy policy.
